Artist's Biography ~ Avril Réussi

Avril inherited a passion for painting from her mother and her mother’s mother. She began painting at the age of three and at sixteen was the youngest juried member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon.  Nationally known jurors selected her works for touring shows. Her parents owned an art gallery in Ashland , Oregon where she sold many paintings.  The sales helped pay for her education at Southern Oregon University.

Raised on a remote ranch, she had many opportunities to connect with the Earth. She rode her horse and motorcycle recklessly over trails she made, enjoying the wind in her hair.  Her appreciation for Earth’s beauty and power is evident in her artwork.
